INTERFACE EFFECT

Abel Tilahun is an installation artist working in digital animation, video, sculpture, sound compositions, and digital images. The child of a musician mother and an engineer father, he grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and received his BFA in Sculpture from the Alle School of Fine Art & Design in 2006. He earned his master's degree in 2010 at Adams State University in Colorado, USA, and is currently a practicing artist and adjunct professor at American University in Washington DC. His solo shows include, 'The Blueprint,' at Alliance Ethio-Francaise in Addis Ababa,  'A Generation Projected,' at The Cloyde Snook Gallery in Alamosa, Colorado and Internet Effect at the Alliance Ethio-Francaise. He is one of the three video artists featured on "Curvature of Events" in 2014.
